An overview
J.Hempstock
& Co Ltd. were founded in 1941 by Mr. James Hempstock specialising in
plumbing works, and became a limited company in 1954.
In 1958 Mr.Michael Hempstock joined the company soon to be joined by
his brother John.C. Hempstock both following their apprenticeships through
to technical levels and to higher nationals.
James's grandson Michael.T.Hempstock joined the company in 1981 training
at Stockport college to advanced level, continuing his training with
'air- conditioning and refrigeration', Gas Safety and electrical fault
finding. He now sits on the committee for 'The Lead Contractors Association'
becoming Chairman of 'Technical and Training' last year and represents
them on the British Standards Committee (BSI).
